Borneo is divided up into three countries, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. These photos were taken in Sarawak in Maylaysia. Borneo is a densely jungled island which is home to many species of exotic animals, including the Silver Leaf Langur, Flying Lemu, Long-Tailed Macaques, Bearded Pigs, River Monitor Lizards and various snakes including the elusive Waglers Pit Viper. It is also home to the endangered Orangutan. The only remaining Oranutans are on Borneo and southern Sumatra, Indonesia. It is estimated that they will be extinct in one decade unless habitat loss and poaching are stopped. Only 30,000 remain in the wild. Borneo is also home to the even more critically endangered Proboscis monkey. They are native only to Borneo. Less than 7,000 remain the wild.
